Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment.
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols.
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and maintain floor care standards across all hotel areas.
• Manage custodial tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or supplies, manual handling of linens and cleaning materials, and ensuring proper disposal of waste.
• Maintain cleanliness of all surfaces by dusting, polishing, and sanitizing to meet sanitation standards.
• Operate cleaning equipment including vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and other janitorial tools efficiently.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures and emergency protocols to ensure safety for guests and staff at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial services with a strong understanding of industrial cleaning practices.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, chemical handling, sanitation standards, and safety procedures.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper technique.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) for chemical agents used in cleaning.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently independently or as part of a team.
• Previous hotel experience or hospitality background is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for the right candidate.
