Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, and bathroom sanitation using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures.
• Conduct heavy lifting tasks when moving furniture or supplies and manual handling of cleaning tools with safety precautions in mind.
• Ensure all sanitation standards are met by adhering to hotel housekeeping management protocols and industry best practices.
• Respond promptly to guest requests for additional amenities or cleaning services with excellent customer service skills.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures in case of incidents or safety concerns, maintaining a safe environment for guests and staff alike.
• Assist with laundry and other tasks assigned by the manager.

Experience

• Previous janitorial or housekeeping experience in a hospitality setting is highly desirable.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums and carpet cleaners.
• Knowledge of hotel housekeeping management systems or similar organizational tools is a plus.
• Understanding of safety protocols related to chemical handling and sanitation procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to perform lifting safely and handle manual tasks efficiently.
• Strong customer service orientation with excellent communication skills to interact positively with guests and team members.
