Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, floor care, and sanitation of bathrooms using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents.
• Handle chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) and proper chemical handling procedures to ensure a safe environment for yourself and colleagues.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, elevators, and restrooms by executing janitorial tasks efficiently.
• Use industrial cleaning tools and equipment effectively for tasks like floor cleaning, carpet maintenance, and surface sanitation.
• Assist with heavy lifting and manual handling tasks when moving furniture or cleaning supplies to prevent injury.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest requests professionally and ensuring their comfort throughout their stay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work, with familiarity in hotel housekeeping management preferred.
• Knowledge of floor cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and industrial cleaning practices.
• Ability to handle cleaning chemicals safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Strong manual handling skills with the ability to lift heavy objects safely.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional attitude.
• Experience operating cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, or steam cleaners is highly desirable.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols is a plus.
