Hotel Housekeeper

Job Summary

Courtyard by Marriott Cleveland Airport North is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Hotel Housekeeper to join our housekeeping team. The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and well-presented guest rooms and public areas while providing courteous and professional service to our guests.

The hotel offers guest rooms and suites, an indoor pool, fitness center, meeting space, and other guest amenities, making a strong housekeeping team essential to the overall guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms according to hotel standards and established procedures.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest room supplies.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including showers, tubs, toilets, sinks, mirrors, and floors.
• Dust, vacuum, sweep, and mop guest rooms and assigned areas.
• Clean windows, mirrors, furniture, fixtures, and other surfaces as needed.
• Inspect rooms to ensure they are clean, organized, and ready for arriving guests.
• Report maintenance issues, damaged items, or safety concerns to the appropriate department.
• Remove trash and soiled linens from guest rooms and designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of hallways, elevators, housekeeping areas, and other public areas as assigned.
• Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Restock housekeeping carts and linen closets as needed.
• Follow lost-and-found procedures for items left behind by guests.
• Respect guest privacy and follow hotel security procedures.
• Respond professionally and courteously to guest requests.
• Work closely with the Housekeeping Manager, Front Desk, and other hotel departments.
• Complete assigned rooms within established productivity and quality standards.
• Follow all hotel, safety, sanitation, and cleanliness policies.
• Perform other duties assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and responsible.
• Positive attitude and professional appearance.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and lift.
• Ability to push and pull housekeeping carts.
• Ability to lift and carry linens, cleaning supplies, and other materials.
• Ability to clean bathrooms and reach areas above and below normal working height.
• Ability to work with cleaning chemicals and housekeeping equipment safely.

Pay: $15.00 per hour
