Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to meet hotel standards
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and chemical agents
• Handle cleaning supplies and chemical agents safely by following safety data sheets (SDS) guidelines and proper chemical handling procedures
• Conduct floor care activities including sweeping, mopping, buffing, and carpet cleaning to ensure a spotless environment
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment while adhering to manual handling safety protocols
• Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly in case of incidents or safety concerns to ensure guest and staff safety
• Maintain accurate records of cleaning activities and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a hospitality or hotel setting is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of floor cleaning techniques and the use of various cleaning equipment
• Experience handling chemical agents safely and effectively in a commercial environment
• Familiarity with hotel housekeeping management practices and sanitation standards
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during routine cleaning tasks
• Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude towards guest interactions

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
