Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment
• Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel protocols to ensure a safe environment
• Vacuum carpets, sweep and mop floors, and care for different flooring types to maintain their appearance and longevity
• Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, and linens to ensure guest needs are met promptly
• Follow hotel emergency procedures during incidents or safety concerns, ensuring guest safety at all times
• Use janitorial equipment effectively, including vacuums, buffers, and cleaning tools, to maximize efficiency and cleanliness
• Manage manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while maintaining proper ergonomic practices
• Maintain detailed records of sanitation procedures and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly

Experience

• Prior experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles is highly preferred; familiarity with hotel operations enhances performance
• Demonstrated expertise in floor care, including cleaning, polishing, and maintenance of various flooring surfaces
• Knowledge of chemical handling procedures and safe use of cleaning agents in compliance with safety standards
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members
• Experience with hotel housekeeping management or janitorial supervision is a plus but not required
• Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
• Familiarity with hotel emergency procedures ensures preparedness during unforeseen incidents
