Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces to ensure a pristine environment.
• Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Handle cleaning tasks using appropriate equipment such as vacuums, floor scrubbers, and cleaning carts while adhering to safety protocols.
• Properly handle chemical agents and cleaning supplies in accordance with safety data sheets (SDS) and hotel procedures to ensure safe usage.
• Assist with heavy lifting tasks related to moving furniture or equipment safely and efficiently.
• Follow hotel emergency procedures to ensure safety during all cleaning activities and report any hazards or maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintain records of sanitation procedures and ensure compliance with health standards for hotel housekeeping management.

Requirements

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial work within the hospitality industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of floor care techniques including cleaning, stripping, waxing, and polishing floors.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, and industrial cleaning tools effectively.
• Familiarity with chemical handling procedures and safety data sheets (SDS) to ensure safe use of cleaning agents.
• Strong manual handling skills for heavy lifting tasks involved in moving furniture or large items safely.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude towards guests and team members.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and sanitation standards required for hospitality environments.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
