Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, including dusting, vacuuming, bed making, bathroom sanitation, and replenishing amenities to ensure a welcoming atmosphere.
• Maintain cleanliness in public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational spaces by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely by following proper procedures outlined in Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and using appropriate chemical agents for different surfaces.
• Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and industrial cleaning tools efficiently to achieve optimal results.
• Manage manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of furniture or supplies while adhering to safety protocols for injury prevention.
• Follow hotel housekeeping management procedures to document completed tasks, report maintenance issues promptly, and ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
• Assist in emergency procedures related to hotel safety protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment for guests and staff alike.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards.
• Knowledge of floor care methods including floor cleaning, waxing, buffing, and maintenance of various flooring types.
• Familiarity with cleaning equipment operation and chemical handling procedures to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting while maintaining proper ergonomics.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly attitude that enhances guest satisfaction.
• Understanding of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to respond effectively in urgent situations.
• Previous experience with industrial cleaning or custodial work is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate.

Pay: $15.00 - $15.50 per hour
