Hotel Maintenance

Overview

We are looking for a dependable and hands-on Maintenance Technician to help keep our hotel property, guest rooms, common areas, and grounds clean, safe, and in good working condition. This position is responsible for completing routine maintenance, repairs, preventative maintenance, and general property upkeep. The ideal candidate is reliable, able to work independently, and takes pride in maintaining a clean and well-maintained hotel.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the hotel and guest rooms.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical issues.
• Handle common guest maintenance requests, including unclogging sinks, toilets, and drains.
• Complete preventative maintenance and inspections of hotel equipment and facilities.
• Repair or replace basic fixtures, hardware, locks, doors, furniture, and other property items.
• Touch up paint, patch walls, and complete other basic cosmetic repairs.
• Respond to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff in a timely manner.
• Inspect guest rooms and common areas for maintenance issues and safety concerns.
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with keeping exterior areas, walkways, staircases, and common areas clean and presentable.
• Sweep, mop, and pressure wash exterior walkways, halls, and staircases as needed.
• Shampoo carpets and assist with deep-cleaning projects throughout the property.
• Remove trash and maintain cleanliness around dumpsters and exterior areas.
• Assist with seasonal property upkeep, including landscaping and general grounds maintenance.
• Follow all hotel safety procedures and properly use tools and equipment.
• Complete other maintenance and property-related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

• Previous hotel maintenance, apartment maintenance, facilities, construction, or similar experience preferred.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot problems and determine appropriate solutions.
• Ability to use basic hand and power tools safely.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in keeping the property clean and well maintained.
• Ability to communicate professionally with guests and hotel staff.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed.
• Ability to work on your feet for extended periods and perform physical tasks, including bending, kneeling, climbing stairs, and reaching.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 39.0 per week
