Hotel Maintenance Engineer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Maintenance Engineer to join our team at Hampton Inn Rockford. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in maintaining and troubleshooting various mechanical and electrical systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our operations. The Maintenance Engineer will work closely with other engineering and maintenance staff to uphold the highest standards of safety and performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of equipment and systems to identify potential issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on HVAC/R systems, ensuring optimal performance.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for tracking maintenance activities.
• Analyze data from precision measuring instruments, including ammeters and ohmmeters, to diagnose problems.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and repair logic controllers and other automated systems.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment status.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in all maintenance tasks.
• Assist in the development of maintenance procedures and protocols.

Experience

• Proven experience in maintenance engineering or a related field is preferred.
• Familiarity with HVAC systems, including installation, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Experience using precision measuring instruments for diagnostics.
• Knowledge of CMMS software for effective maintenance management.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
• Military experience is a plus but not required; candidates with a military background may have an advantage in technical skills.
• Strong analytical skills to assess equipment performance and implement improvements.
