Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, plumbing systems, HVAC units, and building interior components using schematics, hand tools, and electrical testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct welding, carpentry, painting (including residential painting), and facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel’s aesthetic and operational standards.
• Maintain facilities equipment including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), electrical systems, and other mechanical devices to ensure optimal performance.
• Use schematics and technical manuals to diagnose issues accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
• Lead or assist with maintenance painting projects and interior building repairs to enhance guest comfort and safety.
• Support maintenance operations by managing maintenance, repair, and operations (MRO) supplies, ensuring all tools and parts are available for ongoing work.
• Collaborate with team members to prioritize tasks, respond promptly to maintenance requests, and ensure minimal disruption to guests.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and safety checks for compliance purposes.

Skills

• Extensive electrical experience with repair of electrical equipment and systems; familiarity with electrical work standards is essential.
• Strong mechanical knowledge covering plumbing systems, HVAC systems (including repair of HVAC units), carpentry, welding, and building interior maintenance.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, technical diagrams, and using hand tools such as screwdrivers, wrenches, drills, and ohmmeters.
• Experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation troubleshooting is a plus.
• Ability to perform plumbing system maintenance and repair effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of facilities equipment maintenance techniques aligned with MRO best practices.
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with guests and staff while addressing maintenance issues professionally.
• Leadership qualities that enable guiding junior team members or coordinating with other departments during complex repairs or projects.
• Fluency in English for clear communication across teams; additional language skills are advantageous but not required.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
