Hotel Maintenance Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team! The ideal candidate will be responsible for the upkeep and repair of our hotel's facilities, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our guests. This role requires a proactive approach to maintenance, with a focus on preventive measures and timely response to maintenance requests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry and painting.
• Keep trash picked up inside and outside of property
• Inspect and troubleshoot issues in guest rooms, common areas, back-of-house spaces and outside of building
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and staff, ensuring timely resolution of issues.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property inside and out to identify potential safety hazards or maintenance needs.
• Maintain and operate all hotel equipment, including HVAC systems
• Work closely with the Housekeeping and Front Desk teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, including logs of repairs, inspections, and scheduled maintenance tasks by following the 5S way of Clean Preventive Maintenance list
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and hotel standards.
• Provide excellent guest service by smiling and greeting guests as you encounter them.

Qualifications:

• Experience is welcomed
• Knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance techniques.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail.
• Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Ability to lift and carry potential heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform other physically demanding tasks.
• On call availability weekends or Holidays as needed
• Good communication skills
