Hotel Maintenance Engineer

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot building systems, guest casitas, public spaces, and equipment across the property. You will play a vital role in protecting our property’s historic craftsmanship while ensuring modern systems operate smoothly and efficiently for our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• HVAC & Refrigeration: Perform routine preventative maintenance (filter changes, coil cleaning), basic troubleshooting, and minor repairs on residential/commercial split systems, package units, and refrigeration equipment.
• Plumbing: Conduct repairs and maintenance on fixtures, supply lines, drains, water heaters, and irrigation equipment across guest rooms and facilities.
• Electrical: Safely troubleshoot and repair light fixtures, ballasts, switches, outlets, motor controls, and small appliances.
• Preventative Maintenance: Carry out assigned daily/weekly work orders and preventative maintenance programs for guest rooms, kitchen equipment, and common areas.
• General Trades & Grounds: Assist with basic carpentry, drywall patch/paint, lock repairs, and pool or boiler checks as needed.
• Guest Service & Safety: Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests and maintain compliance with OSHA, Lockout/Tagout, and property safety standards.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 2+ years of hands-on building, apartment, or hotel facilities maintenance experience.
• Core Technical Skills: Practical, foundational knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Physical Capability: Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs comfortably in varied indoor/outdoor desert temperatures.
• Schedule: Must have open availability, including weekends, holidays, and rotational evening or on-call coverage as needed.
• Licensing: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
