Job Description

SpringHill Suites is looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join our team. The Maintenance Engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance operations and facilities management at the assigned site. The ideal candidate will have a background in electrical, mechanical and plumbing. The successful candidate will have the ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment, as well as troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical systems. The ideal candidate will also have strong organizational skills, and be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, mechanical and electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment, as well as plumbing systems.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Perform routine repairs on equipment, including replacing parts or assemblies, cleaning and repairing holes in walls or ceilings, etc.
• Assist in the planning of maintenance schedules for equipment or facilities.
• Assist in the scheduling of employees’ time off or sick leave when needed.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
• Follow all health and safety standards, including COVID-19 precautions when working in the facility or on site at customers’ locations.
• Follow all SpringHill Suites safety policies & procedures when working outside of the SpringHill Suites facility or on site at customers’ locations.
• Complete all other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications & Skills Education Required: Minimum 3 years’ experience required; Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook) with advanced proficiency using Google Suite Applications a plus**. Must be familiar with general shop tools such as power drills, saws, etc.. Must be familiar with basic electrical concepts such as voltages and currents...Must be familiar with basic concepts such as voltage drop measurement; AC/DC circuits; Wiring; Circuit breaker testing; Basic soldering skills; Soldering iron knowledge; Heat Exchangers; DC/AC Transformer troubleshooting; AC/DC Motor troubleshooting....Must have a valid driver's license.....Driver education is a plus....Other duties may include loading & unloading trucks full of supplies from customers locations...**

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
