Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. This dynamic role involves performing a wide range of maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting tasks across various building systems to provide a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry skills, along with a passion for maintaining high standards of facility excellence. Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing systems, and building interior components to ensure optimal performance.
• Repair and troubleshoot electrical issues using schematics, electrical equipment repair techniques, and tools such as ohmmeters.
• Perform welding, carpentry, painting, and general facilities maintenance tasks to uphold the hotel’s aesthetic and functional standards.
• Maintain and repair mechanical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), HVAC units, plumbing fixtures, and other facilities equipment.
• Use hand tools and electrical testing devices to diagnose problems accurately and execute repairs efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols while working with electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, and other mechanical equipment.
• Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary, ensuring timely completion while maintaining quality standards.
• Document all maintenance activities clearly using schematics and logs to track repairs, inspections, and system updates.
• Respond promptly to guest or staff maintenance requests to resolve issues swiftly while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or building operations within a hospitality or similar environment.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in electrical work, plumbing system maintenance and repair, HVAC system repair, welding, carpentry, and painting.
• Familiarity with schematics for electrical wiring, HVAC systems, plumbing layouts, and PLCs.
• Ability to operate hand tools, electrical equipment repair tools (including ohmmeters), and diagnostic devices effectively.
• Excellent communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
• Knowledge of maintenance procedures involving residential painting and general building interior upkeep.
• Experience with Maintenance, Repair & Operations (MRO) practices to optimize facility performance.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to guide or assist other team members as needed.
• A proactive approach to safety standards related to electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and mechanical repairs.
