Hotel Maintenance Supervisor

The Doubletree by Hilton Orlando Airport is hiring a Maintenance Supervisor. The Hotel Maintenance Supervisor oversees the repair, safety, and daily operation of a hotel's physical plant, guest rooms, public spaces, and mechanical systems while leading the property's maintenance staff.

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Hire, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance technicians and staff.
• Preventive Maintenance: Design and execute routine inspection and maintenance programs for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems to prevent downtime.
• Repair Management: Assign daily work orders, handle urgent guest or facility repair requests (e.g., power outages, plumbing leaks, broken locks), and perform hands-on fixes when needed.
• Vendor Coordination: Partner with external contractors and specialized technicians for major renovations or system overhauls.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to local building codes, fire safety protocols, and OSHA regulations, keeping accurate safety and repair logs.
• Budget & Inventory: Monitor maintenance expenses, order replacement parts and tools, and assist management in keeping the department on budget.

Qualifications

• Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building repairs.
• Experience: Prior experience as a maintenance technician or in facilities management, preferably within a hospitality or resort environment.
• Certifications: Trade certifications or credentials (such as HVAC, electrical, or CPMM/CMRP) are often preferred.
• Soft Skills: Strong time-management, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills to coordinate smoothly with front desk and housekeeping teams.
