Hotel Maintenance Technician

Best Western Davison Inn is hiring a dependable Hotel Maintenance Technician to keep guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and hotel grounds safe, clean, and in good working order.

Responsibilities:

• Complete routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and assigned work orders
• Diagnose and repair common hotel issues involving plumbing, lighting, basic electrical components, doors, locks, furniture, fixtures, and appliances
• Maintain guest-room equipment, including heating and cooling units, televisions, refrigerators, and other hotel equipment
• Perform painting, drywall patching, caulking, minor carpentry, and general repairs
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff
• Support cleanliness by removing trash, cleaning work areas, and assisting with common-area or emergency cleanup when needed
• Inspect exterior areas, parking areas, landscaping, and building entrances for safety or repair needs
• Maintain tools, supplies, maintenance logs, and accurate records of completed work
• Coordinate with management and outside contractors when repairs require licensed or specialized service
• Follow safety procedures, equipment instructions, and applicable building requirements
• Assist other hotel departments when operational needs require it
• Be available for weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency calls as scheduled

Requirements:

• Previous hotel, building, apartment, or facilities-maintenance experience preferred
• Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical troubleshooting, painting, carpentry, and general repairs
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Dependable attendance, professional conduct, and good communication skills
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple maintenance requests
• Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 pounds
• A valid driver’s license is preferred
