Hotel Maintenance Technician

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on HVAC systems, electrical equipment, plumbing, and building interior components to ensure optimal operation.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using schematics, wiring diagrams, and tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose issues accurately.
• Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other mechanical repairs to maintain the hotel’s facilities appearance and functionality.
• Maintain facilities equipment including elevators, HVAC units, plumbing systems, and lighting fixtures with precision and safety in mind.
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and electrical equipment to execute repairs efficiently.
• Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities and document work performed in maintenance logs.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests or staff to resolve issues swiftly while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance or related roles with knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC repair, and carpentry.
• Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams; familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is a plus.
• Strong electrical experience including electrical equipment repair and troubleshooting using tools such as ohmmeters.
• Knowledge of plumbing system maintenance and repair techniques for residential or commercial settings.
• Skilled in welding, painting (including maintenance painting), and general building interior maintenance tasks.
• Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to operate hand tools and electrical equipment safely.
• Effective communication skills in English for clear documentation and collaboration with team members.
• Leadership qualities are desirable for guiding junior staff or coordinating maintenance projects.
• Ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately; experience with MRO (maintenance, repair & operations) procedures is advantageous.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour
