Hotel Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Technician to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of building systems and equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe, comfortable, and inviting environment for our guests and staff alike. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses strong mechanical and electrical skills, and thrives in a dynamic maintenance setting.

Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical equipment, and building interior components to ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, plumbing, HVAC units, mechanical equipment, and facilities infrastructure using schematics, hand tools, and testing devices such as ohmmeters.
• Conduct welding, carpentry, painting, and other repair tasks to maintain the aesthetic appeal and structural integrity of the property.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used; interpret schematics for complex electrical or mechanical systems.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for building automation systems; repair or replace faulty components as needed.
• Lead small maintenance projects or team efforts when necessary; ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair activities.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff or guests to resolve issues efficiently while providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

• Proven experience in facilities maintenance with a strong background in electrical work, plumbing, HVAC system repair, carpentry, welding, and painting.
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, schematics, electrical equipment repair, and facilities equipment maintenance.
• Ability to operate hand tools effectively and safely; experience with maintenance painting is a plus.
• Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics reading, HVAC systems including installation and troubleshooting.
• Strong electrical experience including electrical system repair and use of testing tools such as ohmmeters.
• Excellent communication skills in English; capable of documenting work accurately and following detailed instructions.
• Leadership qualities with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical ability to perform manual labor including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces.

Pay: $15.50 - $17.50 per hour
