Maintenance / Technician – Hotel

We are seeking a proactive, skilled, and dependable Maintenance /Technician to join our hotel team. In this role, you will play an essential part in ensuring our hotel facilities, guest rooms, and equipment are safe, comfortable, clean, and operating at their best.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical systems, appliances, and general building maintenance, along with a strong commitment to guest satisfaction and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs throughout the hotel, including guest rooms, public areas, kitchens, back-of-house areas, and mechanical spaces.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, including air conditioning, heating, ventilation, and related equipment.
• Maintain and repair basic refrigeration equipment, commercial kitchen appliances, ovens, dishwashers, ice machines, refrigerators, and other hotel equipment.
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and respond promptly to maintenance requests.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools.
• Complete preventative maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain hotel operations.
• Respond efficiently to guest and staff maintenance requests while maintaining a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, parts used, and work completed.
• Ensure all maintenance work complies with hotel safety standards, local regulations, and company policies.
• Assist with general building maintenance, including doors, locks, fixtures, walls, furniture, and other facility-related repairs.
• Work closely with the hotel management and other departments to ensure a safe, comfortable, and pleasant environment for guests.
• Operate company vehicles safely when required for maintenance-related duties, deliveries, or service calls.
• Support emergency maintenance situations and respond promptly to urgent repairs.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous experience as a Maintenance / Technician, Hotel Maintenance Technician, Facilities Technician, Service Technician, or similar role.
• knowledge of HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, mechanical systems, and appliance repair.
• Experience maintaining commercial or hospitality equipment is preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to perform preventative maintenance and identify potential equipment issues before they become major problems.
• Good communication and customer service skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests, hotel staff, and vendors.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced hotel environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to prioritize maintenance requests and respond effectively to emergency situations.
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record, if required for the position.
• Construction, building maintenance, or facilities experience is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
