Hotel Maintenance Technician

Position Summary:
The Hotel Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the proper maintenance and repair of the hotel’s facilities, including guest rooms, common areas, and equipment. This position ensures a safe, comfortable, and functional environment for all guests and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks including painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry repairs.
• Respond promptly to guest and staff maintenance requests.
• Conduct regular inspections of the property to identify and resolve issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and systems.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of maintenance areas and tools.
• Assist with pool, hot tub, and outdoor area maintenance if applicable.
• Monitor and maintain heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.
• Replace light bulbs, fixtures, and hardware as needed.
• Maintain records of all repairs and maintenance performed.
• Ensure all safety standards and procedures are followed.
• Work with outside vendors or contractors when necessary.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience (preferably in hospitality or commercial properties).
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC systems.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing ladders, and standing for extended periods.
• Flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.

Preferred Skills (optional):

• Certification in HVAC or other technical areas.
• Experience with hotel maintenance software (like HotSOS or similar CMMS).
• OSHA or other safety training certifications.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour
