Hotel Maintenance Worker

Job Overview

• Supervise, schedule, and oversee daily activities of the maintenance
• Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for guest rooms, public areas, equipment, and building systems.
• Inspect hotel facilities regularly to identify maintenance needs and potential safety hazards.
• Coordinate and oversee repairs involving plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies and urgent guest room repair requests.
• Ensure guest rooms, hallways, lobbies, meeting rooms, kitchens, and other hotel areas are properly maintained.
• Monitor the operation and maintenance of HVAC systems, elevators, boilers, pumps, and other mechanical equipment, coordinating qualified contractors when required.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, inspection reports, and equipment service logs.
• Manage maintenance supplies, tools, inventory, and equipment purchases within the approved budget.
• Obtain contractor estimates, schedule outside vendors, and monitor the quality of completed work.
• Ensure compliance with fire safety, workplace safety, building codes, and applicable health regulations.
• Coordinate inspections and testing of fire alarms, emergency lighting, safety equipment, and other required systems.
• Monitor energy and water usage and recommend cost-saving improvements.
• Communicate maintenance issues and project updates to hotel management.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front desk, food and beverage, and other departments to minimize guest disruption.
• Train employees on safe work practices, maintenance procedures, and proper equipment use.
• Ensure maintenance staff follow hotel policies, procedures, and service standards.
• Assist with renovation projects, room upgrades, and capital improvement projects as assigned.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
