Hotel Night Auditor

Position Overview

Courtyard by Marriott Germantown is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and service-focused Night Auditor to join our hospitality team. In this key overnight role, you will ensure accurate financial reconciliation, provide exceptional guest service, and maintain the safety and security of the hotel during nighttime operations.

The ideal candidate is professional, organized, and able to work independently while creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform nightly audit procedures and reconcile daily financial transactions using the hotel Property Management System (PMS).
• Balance room revenue, payments, and other hotel accounts with accuracy.
• Process guest check-ins and check-outs efficiently and professionally.
• Respond to guest questions, concerns, and service requests in person and by phone.
• Handle reservations, room assignments, and booking modifications as needed.
• Monitor hotel security systems, including CCTV and property access points.
• Conduct routine property inspections and follow emergency and safety procedures.
• Prepare nightly reports, audit documentation, and shift logs for management review.
• Maintain accurate records and protect guest confidentiality at all times.
• Communicate important operational updates to management and incoming shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel front desk, guest service, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Experience with OPERA or other Property Management Systems (PMS) is highly desirable.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities overnight.
• Professional communication and telephone etiquette.
• Basic computer and cash-handling skills.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Bilingual or multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Preferred Experience

• Hotel, resort, or extended-stay property experience.
• Night audit or accounting reconciliation experience.
• Multi-line phone system experience.
• Knowledge of Marriott brand standards and guest service expectations.
