We are looking for a reliable and responsible Hotel Night Porter to join our team at Pastures Lodge & Hotel.

As a Night Porter, you will be responsible for looking after the hotel and our guests throughout the night, ensuring the property remains safe, secure and well presented while providing a friendly and professional service to any guests requiring assistance.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a welcoming and professional service to guests throughout the night
• Assisting with late check-ins and early departures
• Responding to guest enquiries and dealing with any issues that arise overnight
• Carrying out regular security and safety checks around the hotel
• Ensuring doors, entrances and designated areas are secure
• Monitoring the hotel and reporting any maintenance, security or health & safety concerns
• Completing general cleaning and tidying of public areas during quieter periods
• Preparing areas of the hotel ready for the following morning where required
• Assisting with the setup of function, restaurant or breakfast areas when required
• Following the hotel's fire, emergency and health & safety procedures
• Completing night handovers and ensuring any issues are clearly communicated to the morning management team

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
• Friendly and confident when dealing with guests
• Calm and able to use good judgement when dealing with issues
• Comfortable taking responsibility for the hotel during overnight hours
• Able to follow procedures and complete required security and safety checks
• Happy to help across different areas of the hotel when required
• Flexible and able to work nights, including weekends and bank holidays

Previous hotel, hospitality, security or night-working experience would be beneficial, although full training will be provided to the right candidate.
