About the role

Holiday Plaza Hotel is seeking a dedicated and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team in Cebu City, Cebu. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our hotel. As Hotel Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing staff, and maintaining the highest standards of service and cleanliness throughout the property. This role is integral to delivering an exceptional guest experience and supporting the strategic objectives of Holiday Plaza Hotel.

What you'll be doing

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of operations staff across various departments, including housekeeping, maintenance, and front office areas
• Monitor daily operations to ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and industry standards
• Address and resolve operational issues and guest concerns promptly and professionally
• Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation
• Manage staff schedules, conduct briefings, and provide training to team members
• Communicate effectively with department heads and senior management regarding operational matters and performance metrics
• Ensure health, safety, and security protocols are adhered to throughout the hotel
• Assist with inventory management and cost control initiatives
• Handle emergency procedures and coordinate response efforts as needed
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and process optimisation

What we're looking for

• Proven experience working in a hotel operations role or similar hospitality management position, preferably at least 2-3 years in a supervisory capacity
• Strong knowledge of hotel operations, including front office, housekeeping, and maintenance procedures
• Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Problem-solving skills with the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
• Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and cleanliness
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices in the hospitality industry
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
• Proficiency in hotel management software and basic computer skills
• Customer service excellence and a genuine passion for hospitality
