Hotel Public Space Attendant

Position Summary

We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Houseperson/Public Space Attendant to join our team at Home2 Suites by Hilton. This position is responsible for maintaining clean, safe, and welcoming public areas throughout the hotel while supporting the housekeeping department with supplies, linens, and guest requests.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain hotel public areas, including the lobby, hallways, elevators, stairwells, restrooms, fitness center, guest laundry area, and other shared spaces.
• Sweep, vacuum, mop, dust, sanitize surfaces, clean glass, and remove trash.
• Regularly inspect public spaces and promptly address cleanliness or safety concerns.
• Deliver linens, towels, toiletries, cribs, rollaway beds, and other requested items to guest rooms.
• Stock housekeeping closets and assist room attendants with linens and supplies.
• Remove soiled linens and trash from guest room floors and housekeeping areas.
• Assist with stripping guest rooms and preparing them for cleaning when needed.
• Clean spills and respond promptly to housekeeping-related guest requests.
• Help maintain the cleanliness of hotel entrances, sidewalks, and designated exterior areas.
• Set up, move, or store furniture and equipment as directed.
• Report maintenance concerns, damaged items, lost-and-found items, and safety hazards promptly.
• Follow proper procedures for using cleaning products, chemicals, and equipment.
• Maintain organized and properly stocked housekeeping storage areas.
• Communicate professionally with guests and team members.
• Protect guest privacy and the security of hotel property.
• Assist with laundry or other housekeeping duties as needed.
• Follow all Hilton brand standards and hotel safety, sanitation, and emergency procedures.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel, janitorial, or housekeeping experience is preferred but not required.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Strong attention to detail and time-management skills.
• Friendly, helpful, and professional attitude.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to follow instructions, cleaning procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Must be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift.
• Ability to bend, kneel, reach, climb stairs, push, and pull repeatedly.
• Ability to lift and carry approximately 30–50 pounds.
• Ability to push housekeeping carts, linen bins, and other equipment.
• Ability to perform repetitive cleaning tasks and work with approved cleaning products.

Pay: $17.00 per hour
