About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Hotel Technician to join Proskill Workforce Pte Ltd. This is a full-time position based in the Central Region, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising the technical infrastructure of our hotel facilities. As a Hotel Technician, you will be responsible for ensuring that all systems, equipment, and facilities operate smoothly and efficiently, directly contributing to guest satisfaction and operational excellence. This role is essential to our commitment to providing exceptional service and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for both guests and staff.

What you'll be doing

• Performing routine maintenance and inspections of hotel building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lift systems
• Responding promptly to maintenance requests and emergency calls from guests and staff, ensuring swift resolution of technical issues
• Diagnosing and repairing faulty equipment, fixtures, and appliances throughout the hotel premises
• Conducting preventative maintenance programmes to minimise equipment breakdowns and extend asset lifespan
• Managing inventory of tools, spare parts, and materials required for maintenance operations
• Documenting all maintenance activities, work orders, and technical issues in the facility management system
• Collaborating with external contractors and service providers for specialised repairs and installations
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance work
• Supporting the training of junior technicians and assisting with knowledge transfer across the maintenance team

What we're looking for

• Relevant technical qualifications or certifications in building services, mechanical engineering, or electrical systems
• Proven experience working as a technician or maintenance professional in a hospitality or facilities management environment
• Sound knowledge of hotel building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and lift maintenance
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical faults efficiently
• Competence in using hand and power tools, as well as diagnostic equipment
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset when interacting with guests and colleagues
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple tasks and priorities
• Physical fitness and capability to work at heights and in confined spaces where necessary
• Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices in maintenance work
• Preferably, experience with building management systems (BMS) or computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS)
