Hourly General Manager

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and energetic Hourly General Manager to lead our team and ensure the smooth operation of our restaurant. Responsibilities

• Lead daily restaurant operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, safety, and customer service are consistently met.
• Supervise and motivate team members, including staff training, performance management, and fostering a collaborative team environment.
• Manage shift schedules, coordinate staffing levels, and oversee shift management to optimize service flow.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking processes, and food handling to ensure compliance with health regulations and safety standards.
• Utilize POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
• Control inventory levels through accurate ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction strategies.
• Conduct food safety audits, manage food production processes, and ensure adherence to sanitation standards.
• Assist with budgeting, profit and loss analysis, and cost control initiatives to maximize restaurant profitability.
• Support catering events or banquet services when applicable to expand revenue streams.
• Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Skills

• Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant management with a strong background in food preparation and kitchen operations.
• Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and reporting.
• Demonstrated ability in inventory control, food safety management, and food handling procedures.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in staff training, team management, and supervising hospitality teams.
• Excellent communication skills for managerial tasks including interviewing, training & development, and managerial communication.
• Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, budgeting, and profit analysis.
• Experience in managing hospitality teams within casual dining or fine dining environments; banquet or catering experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with managing kitchen operations, food production processes, and culinary standards.
• Knowledge of food industry regulations related to safety standards and sanitation practices.
• Capable of shift management with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities in a fast-paced setting.
