Are you a dependable, motivated leader who takes pride in high standards, great guest service, and holding a team accountable?

Golden Corral is looking for a hands-on Hourly Manager who can confidently run the front of the house, support back-of-house operations, handle difficult guest situations, and ensure employees follow through on their responsibilities.

We are looking for someone who takes ownership, leads by example, and is willing to step in wherever needed to keep the restaurant running smoothly.

Job Responsibilities

Front-of-House Leadership

  • Oversee daily front-of-house operations, including guest service, cashiering, dining room cleanliness, and restaurant appearance.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and confidently while working to resolve concerns and improve guest satisfaction.
  • Ensure guests receive friendly, attentive service.
  • Monitor guest feedback and address service issues promptly.
  • Maintain high standards for hospitality, cleanliness, and overall presentation.

Back-of-House Operations

  • Assist with kitchen operations as needed.
  • Ensure food quality, food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards are followed.
  • Monitor food waste, portion control, and food cost.
  • Support kitchen employees and ensure proper opening and closing procedures are completed.

Staff Accountability & Closing Procedures

  • Ensure employees complete their assigned duties and required checklists.
  • Check employees out at the end of their shifts by inspecting cleaning, stocking, side work, and closing responsibilities.
  • Verify that work meets company standards rather than simply taking an employee's word for it.
  • Address incomplete work and ensure corrections are made when necessary.
  • Coach employees and hold them accountable for performance, attendance, cleanliness, and service standards.

Leadership & Shift Management

  • Lead by example and maintain a strong sense of urgency.
  • Keep employees productive during slow periods.
  • Monitor staffing and labor needs based on business volume.
  • Communicate effectively with the management team.
  • Take ownership of operational problems and follow through until they are resolved.
  • Maintain consistent standards across both front- and back-of-house operations.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Previous restaurant supervisory or management experience preferred.
  • Open availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
  • Dependable, punctual, and reliable, with consistent attendance.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle and dependable transportation to and from work.
  • Ability to lead both front- and back-of-house operations.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle difficult guests calmly and professionally.
  • Confidence in coaching employees and holding the team accountable.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high standards.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and assist wherever needed.

Benefits

  • Competitive pay of $16–$20 per hour, based on experience.
  • 401(k) retirement plan.
  • Employee meal privileges.
  • Opportunity to grow leadership skills and develop within restaurant operations.

Benefits are subject to applicable company policies and eligibility requirements.

The Type of Leader We Want

We are looking for someone who:

  • Shows up on time and ready to lead.
  • Takes ownership instead of making excuses.
  • Addresses problems instead of leaving them for someone else.
  • Holds employees accountable and verifies that assigned work is completed.
  • Handles guest complaints with professionalism and urgency.
  • Maintains high standards for food quality, cleanliness, and hospitality.
  • Is flexible, dependable, and willing to work where the business needs support.
