Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface wiping to maintain a spotless environment
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures to ensure health standards are met or exceeded
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely and effectively for tasks such as carpet cleaning, floor care, and surface sanitation
• Manage laundry tasks including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing as needed
• Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of furniture or appliances with proper technique to prevent injury
• Maintain organized cleaning supplies inventory and ensure all equipment is in good working order

Skills

• Experience is great, but not required. Experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services
• Strong knowledge of cleaning surfaces, floor cleaning techniques, carpet care, and outdoor work experience if applicable
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents, sanitation standards, and proper handling of cleaning equipment
• Excellent time management skills to complete assigned tasks efficiently within scheduled timeframes
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual handling tasks with care
• Effective client communication skills to understand preferences and deliver personalized service
• Knowledge of housekeeper management practices and residential housekeeping standards
