House Keeper

About us & the role

We're a warm, busy family in Geraldton. Mum and Dad are both entrepreneurs with demanding schedules with Dad doing FIFO to maintain multiple businesses. We're looking for a reliable, caring person to help us keep up with the day-to-day running of our home. This position has become available after our wonderful housekeeper of five years retired.

Key responsibilities

• Keeping the house tidy and organised
• Loading and unloading the dishwasher
• Washing, hanging out, folding and putting away laundry
• Ironing work shirts and pants
• Changing bed linen
• Taking out bins as needed
• Watering the front garden plants (kids love to help with this one)
• Doing the main weekly grocery shop each Tuesday
• Preparing lunches and dinners for the children
• Keeping the fridge fresh and organised, with a monthly clean-out
• School and day care pick-ups, then home
• Coordinating tradespeople for house repairs and maintenance
• Sorting outgrown kids' clothes for storage or donation
• Light upkeep of home wellness room & gym

About you

• Experience in housekeeping, nannying or a similar family role
• Reliable, punctual and trustworthy
• Organised and able to work independently with a good eye for detail
• Warm and confident with young children
• Comfortable preparing simple, healthy meals for kids
• Discreet and respectful of family privacy
• Current WA driver's licence and reliable vehicle
• Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
• National Police Clearance
• You like to have fun!
