POSITION DESCRIPTION: HOUSE MANAGER

Location: DLF Farms, Chattarpur, New Delhi

Position Level: House Manager / Senior Executive / Household Leadership

Remuneration: Starting at 10 LPA (commensurate with experience)

Schedule & Hours: 10-11 hour shifts (inclusive of breaks) | 1 Weekly Off

POSITION OVERVIEW

The House Manager will take complete ownership of daily operations at a premier private estate in DLF Farms, Chattarpur. Serving as the operational anchor of the residence, this role requires managing household staff, overseeing administrative and financial controls, managing vendor relations, and ensuring seamless execution of high-standard events. The ideal candidate will combine luxury hospitality standards with absolute discretion to deliver an exceptional, understated living experience for a high-profile family.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Staff Leadership & People Management

• Oversee, lead, and mentor all household staff, including butlers, housekeepers, chefs, kitchen team, and chauffeurs.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, duty rostering, performance evaluations, and ongoing training.
• Set clear standards of performance, personal presentation, grooming, and service etiquette across all departments.
• Foster a professional, harmonious environment, ensuring effective communication and accountability.

2. Financial Management & Administrative Oversight

• Manage household operational budgets, track daily/monthly expenses, and perform regular invoice reconciliation.
• Drive cost-effective management while maintaining high luxury standards and quality.
• Implement structured inventory management systems for household consumables, luxury items, fine linens, tableware, and beverages.

3. Event Management & Guest Experience

• Plan, organize, and execute private dinners, formal gatherings, and estate events with meticulous precision.
• Direct front-of-house service, seating plans, table arrangements, menu coordination, and guest hosting.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external caterers, event planners, and specialized vendors during private functions.

4. Facility, Property & Vendor Management

• Oversee routine maintenance, deep cleaning schedules, and overall upkeep of the estate and grounds.
• Coordinate with third-party service providers, contractors, and technical teams for repairs, preventive maintenance, and structural upkeep.
• Conduct regular property walkthroughs to ensure cleanliness, aesthetic presentation, and operational readiness at all times.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of direct experience as a House Manager or Estate Manager in high-net-worth private residences or luxury estates.
• Background: Proven track record in luxury hospitality management (5-star hotels/resorts or ultra-luxury private estates).
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word), digital expense tracking tools, and modern inventory management software.
