Essential Home Care is seeking a responsible, compassionate, and dependable House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Adult Family Home and help ensure a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment for our residents.

The House Manager will work closely with caregivers, residents, families, healthcare providers, and management to ensure quality care and smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Adult Family Home.
• Supervise and support caregivers and ensure assigned duties are completed.
• Assist with staff scheduling and finding coverage when needed.
• Help ensure residents receive appropriate, individualized care according to their care plans and support needs.
• Monitor residents' health, safety, and overall well-being and report concerns appropriately.
• Assist with medication-related responsibilities as permitted by training, care plans, and applicable requirements.
• Coordinate medical appointments and communicate with healthcare providers, families, and care teams as needed.
• Maintain accurate resident records, daily documentation, and other required paperwork.
• Ensure staff follow company policies, resident care plans, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming home environment.
• Help promote residents' independence, dignity, privacy, and quality of life.
• Communicate professionally with residents, families, staff, case managers, and other members of the care team.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and help ensure proper procedures are followed.
• Monitor household supplies and communicate maintenance or supply needs to management.
• Perform other duties related to the operation of the home as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving, healthcare, Adult Family Home, group home, or supervisory experience preferred.
• Previous leadership or staff-management experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Reliable, responsible, and able to work independently.
• Compassionate and respectful when working with adults who may have varying care and support needs.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
• Must be able to pass required background checks and meet applicable employment requirements.
