HOUSE MANAGER – LUXURY PRIVATE RESIDENCE

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced and well-organised House Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a luxury private residence in Breach Candy, Mumbai. The role involves managing household staff, maintaining five-star housekeeping standards, coordinating children's schedules, overseeing budgets and maintenance, and managing family events and guest arrangements.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, organisational, and administrative skills, along with a high level of discretion and attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Household Management: Maintain five-star cleanliness and presentation standards through staff supervision, daily checklists, and regular inspections.
• Staff Management: Supervise household staff, nannies, and drivers; manage rosters, recruitment, training, attendance, and performance.
• Purchasing & Budgets: Manage groceries, household supplies, petty cash, budgets, supplier negotiations, and monthly expense reports.
• Maintenance & Vendors: Coordinate repairs, preventive maintenance, service contracts, utility bills, and vendor performance.
• Children & Transport: Coordinate school schedules, children's activities, nanny arrangements, driver schedules, and vehicle maintenance.
• Events & Gifting: Plan family dinners, parties, and celebrations; manage gifting for birthdays, festivals, and special occasions.
• Security & Administration: Oversee home security, access control, emergency preparedness, household records, and family travel arrangements while maintaining strict confidentiality.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a House Manager or Estate Manager in a private household, or in luxury hotel housekeeping.
• Proven experience in staff leadership, recruitment, training, and household operations.
• Strong knowledge of budgeting, purchasing, maintenance, and vendor management.
• Excellent organisational, negotiation, and event-planning skills.
• Fluent in English and Hindi, with proficiency in email, calendars, and spreadsheets.
• Hospitality diploma preferred; strong professional references required.
