Housekeeper

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of all rooms and surfaces using appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents.
• Execute laundry duties such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing clothing and linens with care and efficiency.
• Maintain cleanliness of kitchens by implementing proper cooking area sanitation procedures and ensuring appliances and surfaces are spotless.
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities including patio or garden cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance as needed.
• Handle heavy lifting tasks safely during furniture moving or large item cleaning while adhering to manual handling safety guidelines.
• Use cleaning equipment effectively to ensure floors are swept, mopped, polished, or vacuumed according to schedule.
• Communicate professionally with clients regarding their preferences or special requests to ensure a personalized housekeeping experience.
• Follow time management practices to complete all assigned tasks within designated schedules without compromising quality.
• Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and detergents; notify management when supplies need replenishing.
• Ensure all health and safety standards are met by implementing proper sanitation procedures regularly.

Experience

• Proven experience in residential housekeeping or janitorial roles with a strong understanding of cleaning techniques and sanitation standards.
• Hands-on experience with various cleaning equipment such as vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, carpet extractors, and steam cleaners.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents and safe manual handling practices to prevent injuries during heavy lifting or outdoor work.
• Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively while completing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients about their needs.
• Experience in floor care including polishing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with outdoor surface maintenance or gardening tasks is a plus.
• Prior experience in residential housekeeping or custodial roles that emphasize attention to detail, reliability, and discretion.

Pay: $22.35 - $26.91 per hour
