Housekeeper

CONTRACTUAL SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• Clean guest rooms thoroughly and efficiently in accordance with the daily schedule and instructions provided by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Follow the housekeeping daily checklist, recording all missing items, maintenance issues, or damage found in rooms.
• Ensure all room facilities are in working order, including lighting, appliances, toilets, and general fixtures. Immediately report any faults or damages to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Motel Manager.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in all assigned areas, including public spaces when directed.
• Participate in scheduled deep cleaning tasks such as spring cleaning and window cleaning as instructed by the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Conduct periodic stock checks of linens, cleaning supplies, and amenities, and report usage or shortages to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Handle and deliver lost property and guest items to the reception promptly and securely.
• Maintain strict control over master keys and ensure they are returned at the end of each shift.
• Observe and report any safety hazards, unusual activity, or security concerns immediately to the Housekeeping Supervisor.
• Be fully familiar with emergency procedures, first aid basics, and fire safety protocols, particularly in areas like the kitchen or laundry.
• Uphold a professional appearance and behavior in line with motel policies and customer service standards.
• Assist other team members and cover additional duties during busy periods or staff shortages.
• Carry out any other tasks or responsibilities as requested by the Housekeeping Supervisor or Motel Manager.
