Job Summary:
The Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining clean, comfortable, and welcoming guest rooms and common areas. The position ensures that rooms are properly cleaned and prepared for arriving guests while following the hotel’s cleanliness, safety, and service standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and living areas.
• Make beds, change linens, replace towels, and replenish guest amenities.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop, dust, and clean floors and surfaces.
• Clean kitchen areas, including countertops, sinks, appliances, and cabinets.
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly.
• Check guest rooms for cleanliness, damage, or missing items and report issues to management.
• Follow proper procedures for handling lost and found items.
• Clean and maintain hotel hallways, common areas, laundry areas, and other assigned spaces.
• Restock housekeeping carts and supplies.
• Follow hotel safety, sanitation, and chemical-handling procedures.
• Respect guest privacy and maintain confidentiality.
• Respond professionally to guest requests and report guest concerns to a supervisor.
• Work efficiently to complete assigned rooms within the required time.
• Assist with deep cleaning and other housekeeping tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous housekeeping or hotel experience is helpful but may not always be required.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and reach for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry housekeeping supplies and equipment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Friendly and professional attitude toward guests and coworkers.

Typical Work Environment

Housekeepers work in guest rooms, suites, hallways, laundry areas, and other hotel facilities. The job can be physically demanding and may require working weekends, holidays, mornings, or other assigned shifts.

Pay: $14.50 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 – 35.0 per week
