Hours of Work: Guaranteed minimum 30 hours per week, up to 48 hours per week
Wage Range: $26 to $30 per hour

Oakridge Resort is a well established accommodation provider in Wanaka, offering hotel rooms and self contained apartments along with resort facilities including pools, spa, gym and on site hospitality services.

Position Summary

We are seeking a permanent full time Housekeeper to maintain high standards of cleanliness and presentation across guest rooms and public areas. The role requires reliability, attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently within daily operational targets.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The successful applicant will be responsible for the following tasks:

• Cleaning and servicing guest rooms to established resort standards
• Making beds, changing linen and replenishing amenities
• Cleaning bathrooms, kitchens and living areas including vacuuming, mopping and dusting
• Sanitising surfaces and ensuring hygiene standards are consistently met
• Cleaning and maintaining public areas including hallways and shared facilities
• Reporting maintenance issues, damages or safety hazards
• Handling cleaning chemicals in accordance with health and safety procedures
• Meeting daily room servicing targets within allocated timeframes
• Assisting with laundry duties when required
• Complying with all workplace health and safety policies

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

• A minimum of 2 years relevant full time work experience in housekeeping or commercial cleaning
• Physically fit and able to perform manual tasks including lifting, bending and prolonged standing
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Availability to work rostered shifts including weekends and public holidays
• Sufficient English language ability to understand instructions and communicate effectively in the workplace

This is a permanent position with guaranteed minimum hours and remuneration within the stated wage range depending on skills and experience.
