Housekeeper

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and organisation within our premises, ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment for guests and staff alike. This role offers an opportunity to work in a professional setting where attention to detail and excellent service are highly valued. Previous experience in janitorial, hotel, or commercial cleaning is advantageous, along with skills in cooking and customer service. The Housekeeper will play a vital role in upholding the high standards of cleanliness and comfort that our organisation prides itself on.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitise guest rooms, communal areas, and other designated spaces to a high standard of hygiene.
• Change bed linens, replenish supplies, and ensure all areas are tidy and organised.
• Perform specialised cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, window washing, or deep cleaning as required.
• Assist with laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and ironing linen and clothing items.
• Prepare light refreshments or organise kitchen areas when necessary.
• Respond promptly to guest requests or concerns with professionalism and courtesy.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and supplies, ensuring they are stored safely and used correctly.
• Follow health and safety procedures at all times to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in janitorial services, hotel housekeeping, or commercial cleaning is preferred but not essential; training can be provided.
• Skills in cooking or food preparation are advantageous but not mandatory.
• Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanour.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organisational skills with keen attention to detail.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning duties which may involve lifting, bending, or standing for extended periods.
• A proactive attitude towards maintaining cleanliness standards and guest satisfaction.
