Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation to ensure a spotless environment.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to maintain hygiene standards.
• Handle laundry tasks efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items.
• Maintain floor care through sweeping, scrubbing, carpet cleaning, and polishing to preserve flooring quality.
• Use janitorial equipment safely and effectively for cleaning surfaces, floors, carpets, and outdoor areas when applicable.
• Manage heavy lifting tasks such as moving furniture or large supplies with proper manual handling techniques to ensure safety.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand specific cleaning needs and provide exceptional customer service.
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within designated schedules while maintaining quality standards.
• Ensure all cleaning supplies and detergents are used responsibly and stored properly for safety and efficiency.
• Follow all health and safety regulations related to sanitation, equipment use, and manual handling.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments; hotel or janitorial experience is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, including surface sanitation, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor work when necessary.
• Familiarity with various cleaning equipment and tools used in professional housekeeping settings.
• Ability to implement cleaning detergents safely while understanding their appropriate applications.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple locations or clients.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly with clients regarding their needs.
• Physical stamina for manual handling tasks such as lifting heavy items and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Experience with residential housekeeping management or custodial responsibilities is highly desirable.

Pay: $22.94 - $27.63 per hour
