Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface sanitation across residential or commercial spaces
• Handle laundry duties such as washing, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness by implementing proper sanitation procedures and using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment
• Clean floors thoroughly using floor care techniques suitable for different surfaces, including carpet cleaning and floor polishing
• Manage outdoor work responsibilities such as patio or porch cleaning when applicable
• Assist with janitorial and custodial tasks to ensure all areas meet health and safety standards
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning preferences and address any special requests or concerns
• Practice manual handling techniques safely when lifting heavy objects or moving furniture to prevent injury
• Manage time efficiently to complete daily cleaning schedules while maintaining quality standards

Experience

• Prior experience in residential or commercial cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services is highly preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of cleaning surfaces, equipment operation, and sanitation procedures
• Experience with floor care techniques including carpet cleaning and outdoor surface maintenance is advantageous
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients or residents
• Ability to handle heavy lifting safely and perform manual handling tasks effectively
• Proven time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Previous experience managing housekeeping responsibilities or working in a housekeeping management role is a plus
