Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to uphold the cleanliness and safety standards of our memory care community. The ideal candidate will possess strong cleaning skills, excellent time management, and a commitment to creating a welcoming environment for residents. This role offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to the comfort and well-being of our residents through meticulous housekeeping practices.

Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning of resident rooms, common areas, and facility surfaces using appropriate cleaning detergents and equipment.
• Implement sanitation procedures to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a hygienic environment at all times.
• Conduct floor cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care to preserve surface quality and safety.
• Manage laundry duties efficiently, including washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and resident clothing.
• Handle manual lifting and heavy lifting tasks safely when moving furniture or large items within the community.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor work areas as needed, ensuring pathways and entrances are free of debris.
• Communicate effectively with residents and staff to address specific cleaning needs or concerns promptly.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in residential or commercial settings is highly desirable.
• Experience in residential housekeeping or healthcare environments is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with sanitation standards specific to memory care facilities.
• Knowledge of cleaning surfaces, carpet cleaning techniques, and floor maintenance is essential.
• Proven ability to manage time efficiently while handling multiple cleaning tasks throughout the day.
• Strong customer service skills with an understanding of client communication in a sensitive setting.
• Physical capability for manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and outdoor work activities.
