Duties

• Perform thorough cleaning of residential or commercial spaces, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface wiping to uphold cleanliness standards.
• Implement proper cleaning and sanitation procedures across all areas to ensure health and safety compliance.
• Handle laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens or clothing items efficiently.
• Use appropriate cleaning equipment and detergents safely while maintaining their proper functioning through manual handling.
• Clean floors using various techniques such as sweeping, mopping, carpet cleaning, and floor care to keep surfaces spotless and well-maintained.
• Maintain organized storage of cleaning supplies and equipment for easy access and safety.
• Communicate effectively with clients or residents to understand specific cleaning needs or preferences, ensuring high satisfaction levels.
• Assist with outdoor work when necessary, including patio or garden area cleaning or maintenance tasks.
• Manage time effectively to complete assigned tasks within scheduled periods while maintaining quality standards.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or janitorial cleaning roles with knowledge of sanitation procedures.
• Strong ability in floor cleaning techniques including carpet care and floor maintenance.
• Skilled in using various cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, steam cleaners, and other tools.
• Knowledge of cleaning detergents and chemicals along with safe handling practices.
• Excellent manual handling skills for heavy lifting and moving furniture or large items safely.
• Exceptional attention to detail when dusting surfaces, sanitizing bathrooms, kitchens, and common areas.
• Effective communication skills for client interactions and team collaboration.
• Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple locations or spaces.
• Experience with outdoor work environments is a plus.
• Ability to manage housekeeping schedules or oversee housekeeping operations if required.

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week
