Housekeeper

The Goldton at Stuart is looking for a reliable, hardworking, and compassionate Housekeeper to join our team!

As a Housekeeper, you’ll play an important role in maintaining a clean, safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our residents, families, and guests. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in their work and enjoys making a positive difference in the lives of seniors.

What You'll Do

• Clean and sanitize resident apartments and community common areas
• Maintain lobbies, hallways, dining areas, elevators, restrooms, and other public spaces
• Vacuum, dust, sweep, mop, disinfect, and maintain floors and carpets
• Clean resident bathrooms and kitchens and maintain appliances and surfaces
• Change linens and make beds according to resident preferences
• Restock paper products, soap, sanitizer, and other supplies
• Safely use and properly handle cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Use appropriate caution signs when cleaning floors
• Maintain cleaning schedules, logs, and documentation
• Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, chemical spills, or other issues to management
• Follow infection control, safety, fire, and emergency procedures
• Respond appropriately to resident emergencies and assist with evacuations when needed
• Build positive relationships with residents by providing friendly and respectful service
• Communicate resident concerns to management when appropriate
• Perform other duties as assigned

What We're Looking For

• Must be 18 years or older
• Previous housekeeping or related experience preferred
• 3–6 months of related experience is a plus
• Dependable, responsible, and detail-oriented
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Able to follow written and verbal instructions
• Able to communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members
• Comfortable working in a senior living environment
• Willing to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

Physical Requirements

This is an active, hands-on position. You should be able to:

• Stand, walk, bend, reach, stretch, and move throughout the day
• Perform repetitive cleaning tasks
• Lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds
• Assist with resident-related needs, including lifting or transferring residents when appropriate
• Safely use cleaning products and equipment
