Housekeeper

Job Overview

As a Housekeeper, you’ll help create clean, comfortable, and welcoming residential spaces. You’ll handle routine cleaning, laundry, and floor care, use cleaning equipment and detergents safely, and communicate with clients to understand priorities. This hands-on role may include cooking and outdoor work, depending on household needs.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize surfaces, kitchens, bathrooms, and living areas; dust and follow established cleaning and sanitation procedures.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and provide floor and carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and products.
• Manage laundry, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and putting items away.
• Prepare meals when requested and complete outdoor cleaning tasks as assigned.
• Plan tasks to meet household priorities, communicate progress to clients, and use safe manual handling practices when moving supplies or lifting items.
• Your impact: Consistent, thoughtful housekeeping helps residents enjoy cleaner, more comfortable spaces and gives clients confidence that household needs are being handled.

Qualifications

• Experience in residential cleaning or residential housekeeping is valuable; janitorial or custodial experience is also relevant.
• Knowledge of cleaning, sanitation, floor care, cleaning surfaces, detergents, and cleaning equipment is preferred.
• Cooking ability, customer service, client communication, and time management skills are helpful.
• Able to perform physical tasks, including manual handling and heavy lifting, while following safe practices.
• Outdoor work experience and housekeeping management experience are nice to have.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour
