Full-Time: Monday-Friday 7am-3pm every other weekend

$17-$17.50 (Pay based on experience)

About the Role:

The Housekeeper EVS (Environmental Services) plays a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within healthcare or institutional settings across the United States. This position ensures that patient rooms, common areas, and specialized medical environments meet rigorous cleanliness standards to prevent the spread of infection and promote overall health and safety. The Housekeeper EVS collaborates closely with clinical and administrative staff to support operational efficiency and patient satisfaction. Through diligent cleaning, waste management, and adherence to infection control protocols, this role directly contributes to the well-being of patients, visitors, and staff. Ultimately, the Housekeeper EVS helps create a welcoming and hygienic atmosphere that upholds the institution’s reputation for quality care and safety.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or environmental services, preferably in a healthcare or institutional setting.

• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions related to cleaning protocols and safety procedures.

• Physical capability to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

• Basic knowledge of infection control and safety standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in environmental services or housekeeping from a recognized organization.

• Experience working in a hospital, nursing home, or similar healthcare environment.

• Familiarity with the use of cleaning chemicals and equipment specific to healthcare settings.

• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with team members and supervisors.

• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Perform thorough cleaning and disinfection of patient rooms, operating rooms, waiting areas, restrooms, and other facility spaces according to established protocols.

• Manage waste disposal, including the safe handling and removal of biohazardous materials in compliance with health and safety regulations.

• Restock supplies such as linens, toiletries, and cleaning materials to ensure availability and readiness in all assigned areas.

• Report maintenance issues, safety hazards, or supply shortages promptly to supervisors to maintain a safe and efficient environment.

• Follow infection control procedures rigorously, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to cleaning schedules and checklists.
