Housekeeper / Household Assistant

Overview

I’m looking for a dependable, thorough person to help keep my home clean, organized, and running smoothly. Responsibilities include household cleaning, laundry, dog care, basic meal preparation, and routine household errands.

I value humility, respect, and a willingness to help with everyday tasks. These are responsibilities I handle myself, and I’m looking for someone who approaches them with the same care and attention. Taking out trash, cleaning up after dogs, and putting laundry away are all important parts of the position.

Responsibilities

Housekeeping and cleaning

• Clean bathrooms, bedrooms, kitchen, and shared living spaces.
• Vacuum, mop, dust, wipe surfaces, and handle routine deeper cleaning.
• Wash dishes, tidy rooms, and put household items away.
• Empty household trash cans, take trash outside, and replace liners.
• Bring trash bins to the curb and return them as needed.
• Sort recycling and transport it to the recycling center.
• Keep cleaning products and household supplies organized and flag items that need replenishing.

Laundry and linens

• Complete laundry from start to finish: washing, drying, folding, hanging, and putting everything away.
• Follow garment care instructions.
• Change bedding, wash towels, and keep linens organized.

Dog care and cleanup

• Follow established feeding, fresh-water, and potty-break routines.
• Pick up and dispose of dog waste outdoors.
• Promptly and thoroughly clean indoor accidents.
• Clean dog bedding, bowls, and feeding areas.
• Provide attentive care and communicate any concerns.

Basic meal preparation

• Prepare simple meals and ingredients according to provided instructions and preferences.
• Wash and chop produce, portion meals, and put groceries away.
• Keep the refrigerator and food-storage areas organized.
• Clean the kitchen after preparation.

Household support

• Help with agreed-upon household errands, including recycling drop-offs.
• Follow recurring household routines and notice when something needs attention.
• Communicate progress, supply needs, and unfinished tasks clearly.

• Has experience in housekeeping, residential cleaning, or similar work.
• Can prepare simple meals and follow instructions.
• Respects household privacy and is comfortable with a homeowner who works from home.
• Has reliable transportation to work and a valid driver’s license for household errands.

This role centers on cleaning, laundry, dog care, and practical home support. These are the core responsibilities every week.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25.0 per week
