Reports to: Manager – Hotel Operations
Location: The Sigar @ Sutera Bay or Sutera Avenue
Salary Range: RM 1,800.00 – RM 2,000.00
Employment Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

The Housekeeping / Room Attendant is responsible for ensuring guest rooms, corridors, and assigned public areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene, providing a comfortable and welcoming environment for hotel guests.

Key Responsibilities

Guest Room Cleaning

• Clean and service guest rooms daily, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and sanitizing bathrooms.
• Replace bed linens, towels, and guest amenities in line with hotel standards.
• Replenish minibar, drinking water, coffee/tea, and other in-room supplies as required.
• Ensure all equipment, furniture, and fixtures are in good condition; report any damages or maintenance issues immediately.

Public & Back-of-House Areas

• Maintain cleanliness in corridors, service areas, and back-of-house spaces.
• Dispose of waste and recyclables safely and responsibly.

Guest Service

• Respond promptly and courteously to guest requests (extra amenities, additional towels, etc.).
• Respect guest privacy by adhering to “Do Not Disturb” and hotel security policies.
• Deliver excellent customer service with professionalism and a positive attitude.

Compliance & Safety

• Follow proper cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and safety standards.
• Adhere to hotel policies, grooming standards, and hygiene requirements.
• Comply with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Previous housekeeping experience in a hotel or hospitality environment (preferred but not mandatory).
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks, including lifting and bending.
• Basic communication skills; able to understand guest requests.
