About Peninsula Housekeeping

Peninsula Housekeeping is a growing premium housekeeping company providing professional cleaning and housekeeping services to homes across the Wirral.

We want to build a team of reliable, friendly and conscientious housekeepers who genuinely take pride in their work and enjoy leaving a home looking beautifully clean, fresh and cared for.

We're currently looking for our first housekeepers to join the business as we grow our customer base across the Wirral.

The Role

As a Peninsula Housekeeper, you'll visit customers' homes and provide high-quality housekeeping and cleaning services to our company standards.

This isn't about rushing from property to property. We're looking for people who notice the little things, care about doing a job properly and understand the importance of being trusted in someone's home.

Typical duties will include:

• Cleaning kitchens and bathrooms
• Dusting and wiping surfaces
• Vacuuming and mopping floors
• Cleaning mirrors and internal glass
• Making beds and presenting bedrooms
• Emptying bins
• Tidying and presenting living areas
• Completing customer priority tasks
• Carrying out occasional deeper-cleaning tasks
• Completing a final check before leaving each property

You'll normally work independently once fully trained, although some larger jobs may involve working alongside another housekeeper.

What We're Looking For

Previous professional cleaning or housekeeping experience is welcome, but it's not essential.

We're more interested in finding the right people.

You'll ideally be:

• Someone who takes genuine pride in their work
• Able to communicate confidently with customers and the Peninsula team

Experience in housekeeping, hotels, hospitality, care or professional cleaning could be particularly useful.

Hours

This is initially a part-time, variable-hours position.

Most work will take place Monday to Friday during daytime hours, with the majority of appointments expected between approximately 9am and 3pm.

As Peninsula Housekeeping grows, there will be opportunities for additional regular hours.

This could suit someone looking for flexible daytime work around family commitments or someone wanting to build regular part-time hours.

Pay & Travel

£14.00–£15.00 per hour, depending on experience and suitability.

Travel time between Peninsula Housekeeping customer appointments is paid in accordance with our company policy.

Qualifying business mileage is also reimbursed in accordance with our mileage policy.

Requirements

Successful applicants will need to:

• Have the right to work in the UK
• Be able to travel reliably between customer properties across the Wirral
• Provide suitable references
• Complete appropriate pre-employment checks
• Be willing to complete a DBS check where required
• Follow Peninsula Housekeeping's cleaning, customer service and safety standards

Applicants who drive and have access to their own vehicle are particularly welcome due to the nature of travelling between customer homes.
