Housekeeper/Cleaner

We are looking for someone very special to become an integral part of a client's busy family home.

This isn’t simply a cleaning role. The family are looking for someone who will genuinely get to know their home, understand how their family operates and take pride in making sure everything runs smoothly.

They are a busy family and want someone who can take ownership of the day-to-day running of their home, allowing them to come home in the evenings and spend quality time with their children.

Of course, cleaning and keeping the house beautifully presented is part of the role.

They want someone who gets to know the home as well as they do. Someone who understands where everything belongs, how they like rooms to be presented, how their wardrobes are organised and the little routines that make family life work.

It’s about having the attention to detail to notice what needs done without constantly having to be asked.

What the role will involve

• General housekeeping and maintaining a consistently clean, tidy and beautifully presented home.
• Managing the family’s laundry from start to finish, including washing, drying, ironing, folding and putting everything away.
• Keeping wardrobes, drawers, bedrooms and household storage organised.
• Changing bed linen and keeping bedrooms fresh and inviting.
• Staying on top of the children’s clothing, school uniforms, PE kits and other weekly essentials.
• Tidying and organising children’s bedrooms, toys and belongings while respecting their individual routines and favourite things.
• Keeping the kitchen, bathrooms and living areas maintained to a high standard.
• Noticing when household essentials are running low and helping to keep everything stocked.
• Taking ownership of regular household tasks and identifying what needs attention without being prompted.
• Learning our family’s preferences and routines so that the household runs smoothly and efficiently.

The person we’re looking for

Above everything else, they're looking for someone who is proactive, dependable, discreet, organised and naturally attentive to detail.

Someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys creating order and understands that the small things often make the biggest difference.

They are not looking for perfection or someone who needs to work endlessly. Ultimately, it is someone who will look after their home with the same care and attention that they would give it themselves. A long term, trusted individual.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
